On the 15th August 1945 World War 2 came to an end as the guns fell silent and Europe, with fellow countries America and Australia annouced the surrender of Japan. From that day on it would be known as Victory in Japan Day, where people would take to the streets to celebrate the peace and freedom around the world. The year 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of Europe, America and Australia all coming together as a united front and it is an opportunity to again celebrate and remember the courage of our family and loved ones who we lost or were injured during this uncertain time in history.
