Adopted upon independence from the UK the Grenada Flag was has been flown as the nations official flag since 7th February 1974. With it's very iconic design, that not many other nations will consider, it uses a red border around the entire flag and in the center is 4 triangles, two green at the left and right sides and two yellow at the top and bottom with a red circle in the center and a small yellow star in the middle of the entire flag. On the left hand side of the flag is a small representation of a clove of nutmeg, the main crop of the nation and at the top and bottom, in the red borders, are six yellow stars, three at the top and three at the bottom, standing for the countries six parishes.
